The Clean Water Foundation of Washington is a State of Washington non-profit corporation set up to deliver water filters to provide safe, clean water to children and others around the world. CWF is a registered 501(3)(c), tax-deductible, charitable organization.
The United Nations estimates that more than 1 billion people do not have access to safe, clear water. More than 2 million children die each year from a water-borne illness. More than 50% of the hospital beds around the world are for people with water-borne illnesses.
CWF is a small organization with global ambitions to tackle a public health problem that kills millions of children each year. Waterborne illnesses affect these children who have no source of safe, clean drinking water to break the cycle of sickness. Too many children die simply for the lack of safe, clean water.
The Clean Water Foundation is developing innovative, creative approaches to this global health issue. Teaming up with World Vision and others, CWF is able to bring state-of-the-art water purification technology to otherwise neglected or overlooked corners of the world.
